Dr. Łukasz Ławniczak is an academic researcher at Poznań University of Technology, Faculty of Chemical Technology, where he works at the Institute of Chemical Technology and Engineering in the Department of Organic and Bioorganic Chemistry. With a PhD in chemical sciences obtained in 2014, he has established himself as a prominent researcher in environmental chemistry and bioremediation. His work bridges chemical engineering with environmental science, focusing on practical applications for pollution remediation across multiple disciplines. PhD in chemical sciences (2014), Poznań University of Technology Master's degree in engineering (2009), Poznań University of Technology Dr. Ławniczak's research focuses on the fate of organic pollutants in the natural environment, requiring an interdisciplinary approach that integrates knowledge to achieve both cognitive and practical results. His specific interests include developing effective methods for removing organic pollutants, studying pollution impacts on natural environments, and exploring natural compounds as substitutes for synthetic xenobiotics. His work often involves bioremediation techniques, biosurfactants, and the study of herbicidal ionic liquids, with strong connections to practical environmental solutions. His recent publications (2023-2025) demonstrate a strong focus on environmental remediation technologies, with particular emphasis on deep eutectic solvents, metal leaching from electronic waste, antimicrobial composites, and advanced techniques for pollutant detection and removal. His work spans multiple disciplines including environmental chemistry, materials science, and biotechnology, reflecting his interdisciplinary approach to solving environmental challenges through innovative chemical solutions. Dr. Ławniczak serves as a Guest Editor for Molecules and International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, and is an active member of several university committees including the Faculty Committee for the Quality of Education, University Recruitment Team, and Faculty Team of E-Learning Coordinators. His extensive scientific collaborations span multiple institutions across Poland and internationally, including Poznań University of Life Sciences, Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Adam Mickiewicz University, and international partners in Germany and Austria.
