Louis Fradette

Louis Fradette is a Full Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Polytechnique Montréal. He holds a Ph.D. from Polytechnique Montréal and INP Lorraine.

• Education: B.Sc., M.Sc.A. from Laval University; Ph.D. from Polytechnique Montréal and INP Lorraine.

Research Interests focus on emulsification, CO2 capture processes, and agitation/mixing systems for complex fluids and multiphase systems. He leads the Valorisation Carbone Québec project, demonstrating industrial-scale CO2 utilization technologies.

Publication Trends emphasize Pickering emulsions for rare earth separation, CO2 capture using hydrates/absorption heat pumps, and solid-liquid mixing with advanced modeling techniques like CFD-DEM.
