معرفی
Catherine Morency is a Full Professor in the Department of Civil, Geological and Mining Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal, where she holds the Mobility Chair and a Tier-1 Canada Research Chair on Personal Mobility. Her research focuses on transportation engineering, sustainable transport, intermodality, and equity in urban mobility. She is affiliated with multiple research units including the Centre interdisciplinaire de recherche en opérationnalisation du développement durable (CIRODD), Agence de mobilité durable, Société de transport de Montréal (STM), Laboratoire en intelligence des données, Institute for Data Valorization (IVADO), and CIRRELT.
Her work integrates modeling interactions between transportation modes, analyzing spatial-temporal data, and evaluating sustainability metrics. She advocates for reducing car dependency through ridesharing, carsharing, and active modes, while emphasizing equity in transport planning. Recent publications explore driving cycle construction, metro network vulnerability, e-bike route optimization, and GHG emission modeling.
