Jeffrey Nason is a tenured Professor and current Head of the School of Chemical, Biological, and Environmental Engineering at Oregon State University's College of Engineering. With degrees in civil, environmental, and chemical engineering from Cornell University and the University of Texas, he has been a faculty member since 2007 and was promoted to full professor in 2021. His leadership extends beyond research to graduate program administration, where he served eight years as Associate Head for Graduate Programs. Key projects include NSF-funded studies on traceable nanoparticles and virtual laboratory effectiveness in engineering education. Recent publications focus on epistemic practice development in digital learning environments and metal speciation analysis in complex matrices.
