Dr. Leon Escobar is a researcher in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Tübingen’s Mathematical and Natural Sciences Faculty. His work spans mathematical relativity, numerical relativity, and cosmology, focusing on analytical and numerical studies of spacetimes with unique spatial topologies. University: University of Tübingen Department: Department of Mathematics Email: escobar@math.uni-tuebingen.de Research Interests: Mathematical Relativity Numerical Relativity Mathematical Cosmology Geometric Flows Numerical Spectral Methods His research includes studies of inhomogeneous cosmological models, the Bartnik quasi-local mass conjecture, and novel numerical approaches for solving Einstein’s equations using spectral methods. He has developed Python modules for spin-weighted spherical harmonics, contributing open-source tools under GPL. PhD Thesis: Studies of spacetimes with spatial topologies S³ and S¹ × S² (University of Otago, 2016).
