Taiwo Oluwakemi Adubi is a Lecturer in the Department of Zoology, Faculty of Science at the University of Lagos, Nigeria, with continuous service since 2010. She progressed from Assistant Lecturer (2010-2015) to Lecturer II (2015-2023) and currently holds the position of Lecturer I (2023-present). Her academic foundation includes BSc (1997), MSc (1999), and PhD (2016) degrees in Zoology, all obtained from the University of Lagos. Educational background: BSc in Zoology, University of Lagos (February 1997) MSc in Zoology, University of Lagos (July 1999) PhD in Zoology, University of Lagos (October 2016) Dr. Adubi specializes in parasitic infections among vulnerable populations, particularly school-aged children in rural Nigeria. Her research integrates molecular biology, diagnostics, and bioinformatics to address neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), with emphasis on schistosomiasis and soil-transmitted helminths. She pioneers implementation research to bridge intervention gaps through community-NGO-government partnerships, focusing on context-specific drug discovery and diagnostic tools for African settings. Her work increasingly incorporates computational approaches to combat drug resistance in NTD treatments. Analysis of her 2011-2025 publications reveals consistent field epidemiological studies across Nigerian states (Ogun, Plateau, Katsina), evolving from basic parasite detection to molecular characterization and clinical outcomes. Key trends include methodological shifts toward PCR-based diagnostics, expansion into female genital schistosomiasis, and growing emphasis on community-based intervention strategies. Her research maintains strong Nigeria-specific focus while addressing globally relevant NTD challenges. Professional engagement: Course Advisor, Department of Zoology (2019-2024) Member, Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (2021-2023) National Treasurer, Parasitology and Public Health Society of Nigeria (2015-2021) Member, Parasitology and Public Health Society of Nigeria (1999-present) Vice Chancellor Representative, Caleb University Disciplinary Committee (2016-2019) Dr. Adubi actively seeks international grants to advance her research vision, emphasizing mentorship-driven team science to tackle critical NTD questions. She has contributed to national health initiatives including malaria case management training (Society for Family Health, 2013) and Long-Lasting Insecticide Nets campaigns (National Malaria Control Programme, 2009), demonstrating commitment to translating research into public health action through interdisciplinary collaboration.
