Sezen Başak Özünur Şahin is a Research Assistant at Akdeniz University's Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture. She holds a master's degree in Building Science from Akdeniz University (2019) and is currently pursuing her doctorate there. Her work focuses on architectural philosophy, theory, and design paradigms. Education: Doctorate in Architecture (Akdeniz University, 2019–Present), Master's in Building Science (Akdeniz University, 2016–2019), Bachelor's in Architecture (Anadolu University, 2011–2016). Her research explores intersections between architectural theory, phenomenology, and historical design practices, with publications on figures like Mimar Sinan, Boullée, and Luis Barragán. She investigates spatial-temporal integration in cultural spaces, modernism's regional adaptations, and perceptual composition in architectural design. Her work spans peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and conference presentations. Recent publications emphasize narrative structures, aesthetic participation models, and the evolution of architectural paradigms from the 20th century to contemporary contexts.
