Abhigyan Singh is an Assistant Professor of Design Anthropology for Social Change at TU Delft's Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering and a Research Fellow at the Amsterdam Institute for Advanced Metropolitan Solutions (AMS Institute). He holds a PhD from TU Delft, a Master’s from Aalto University, and a Bachelor’s from DA-IICT. His research focuses on energy transitions, fairness in climate governance, and decolonizing design practices. He co-led the International Energy Agency's GOP2P initiative and serves on TU Delft’s Climate Governance Flagship committee. His academic journey includes postdoctoral work at Erasmus University and guest research roles at TU Delft’s EEMCS faculty. Notable awards include the WWNA Apply Award (2021) and recognition at the Shanghai World Expo 2010. His work bridges anthropology, design, and technology to address systemic inequities in energy systems and urban futures. Recent projects include conceptualizing inter-household energy exchanges in India and the Netherlands, developing participatory frameworks for energy communities, and advocating for inclusive climate policies.
