Professor Raymond Chambers is a distinguished statistician currently serving as an Honorary Fellow at the School of Mathematics and Applied Statistics, Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences, University of Wollongong (2022–present). His career spans leadership roles at the University of Southampton (2003–2006 as Director, Southampton Statistical Sciences Research Institute; 1995–2000 as Professor and Head of Department of Social Statistics; 1999–2000 as Leverhulme Professor) and the Australian National University (1989–1995 as Senior Lecturer in Statistics).
