She is additionally faculty at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc), teaching graduate-level seminars on game engines and perception. Her academic work spans interaction design, immersive technologies, and critical design research. Education: B.I.D. in Industrial and Interaction Design, Syracuse University MFA in Media Design, ArtCenter College of Design Her research focuses on the intersection of design, computation, and human interaction. She explores how game engines, AR/VR, computer vision, and AI can be used as expressive and critical tools. Her work investigates the semiotics of action, playable interfaces, and how technology mediates perception and representation. Her publications in CHI and UIST reflect a strong trajectory in novel input methods and design innovation. Themes across her work include multimodal interaction, embodied computing, and the cultural implications of emerging technologies. She has led studio courses in prototyping, AR/VR, and game engine-based design, often in collaboration with industry partners like Meta, Google, and Microsoft. Scientific Awards: Jury Chair for Core77 Design Awards Fellow at Nature, Art, & Habitat Residency, Sottochiesa Italy Postgraduate Research Fellow at Media Design Practices, ArtCenter College of Design Jennifer advises students through studio courses and research projects, fostering critical and technical skills in interaction design. She has secured collaborations with major tech sponsors including Meta Reality Labs, Unity, Google, and Snap Inc. Her Immersion Lab provides cross-disciplinary access to emerging technologies and supports curriculum development in immersive design. She leads the Immersion Lab, a research and pedagogy space focused on hands-on exploration of AR/VR, computer vision, motion capture, and spatial computing. The lab partners with industry to develop relevant, experiential learning opportunities and has been featured in Core77 for its innovative integration of immersive tech into design education.
