Fabrice Iacovella is a Research Fellow at the Microelectronics Research group within the Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser (IESL) at the Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH) in Greece. His academic journey has been deeply rooted in the field of Nanophysics , with a focus on 2D materials and their applications in advanced electronic devices. Education: Ph.D. in Nanophysics (2014), Laboratoire National des Champs Magnétiques Intenses, Toulouse, France M.Sc. in Fundamental Physics (2011), Department of Physics, University Toulouse III, France B.Sc. in Fundamental Physics (2009), Department of Physics, University Toulouse III, France Fabrice's research spans interdisciplinary areas of Nanophysics , Condensed Matter Physics , and Electronic Engineering . His work primarily centers around graphene ballistic devices , 2D transition metal dichalcogenides synthesized via Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) , and their integration into novel electronic systems for telecommunications and terahertz (THz) applications . He has made significant contributions to Carbon and 2D Electronics and Quantum Complexity research since 2014. Throughout his career, Fabrice has been affiliated with prestigious institutions such as the University of Crete (2014-2016) and the Crete Center for Quantum Complexity and Nanotechnology (CCQCN) , before joining IESL at FORTH in 2017, where he continues his postdoctoral work today. His expertise lies in developing high-speed electronic devices and advancing graphene-based technologies for next-generation applications.
