Evangelos Christoforou

Evangelos Christoforou is a Professor of Electronic Materials at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), and Director of the Electronic Sensors Laboratory. He holds a PhD in Engineering from King's College London and an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Patras.

Research Focus: His work spans three core areas: (1) Sensors & Materials including stress tensor monitoring in steels, magnetic cardiographs, and gas mass meters; (2) Hybrid Energy Systems such as sub-300°C hydrogen production, biofuel synthesis from waste/coal, and battery regeneration; (3) Biomedical Innovations including magnetic nanoparticle-based water purification, algae cultivation, and thrombolysis catheters.

Courses Taught: Microelectronics, Sensor Technology, Magnetic Materials, and Nanomaterials Lab Techniques. He collaborates with industries in sensors, energy, and healthcare sectors, with over 150 journal publications (h-index 24) and 30+ invited conference talks.
