Long Chang is a Research Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Houston's Cullen College of Engineering. He directs research in nanoscale device fabrication and detection systems. His educational background includes: Ph.D. - University of Houston Chang's research focuses on nanofabrication techniques, biosensors, microscopic devices, and metasurface engineering. His work develops novel materials and structures for applications in photonics, sensing, and medical diagnostics. Recent publications explore enhanced mid-infrared absorption using plasmon-phonon polariton nanocavities, thermally tunable metasurfaces, and ultra-sensitive magnetic particle detectors. His research bridges materials science with engineering applications.
