Lino Cinquini is a Full Professor of Management Accounting and Business Administration at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies since 2004. Previously, he held professorships at the University of Parthenope (2001-2004) and the University of Pisa (1992-2001, including roles as Associate Professor and Lecturer). He earned a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Pisa in 1990. His research focuses on Management Accounting, Cost Management, Strategic Performance Measurement, and Accounting History, with emphasis on integrating financial/non-financial metrics, service system evolution, and ESG/SDG reporting. He has been a visiting professor at the University of Edinburgh, Aarhus School of Business, and Tampere University of Technology. He serves on editorial boards of journals such as Journal of Accounting and Organizational Change and was Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Management and Governance (2016–2023). He chairs the Scientific Committee of OIBR (Italian Business Reporting) and is Vice-President of the IMA-Italy Chapter. Since 2023, he directs the Institute of Management. His recent work explores sustainability integration in corporate reporting, environmental performance systems, and the impact of digitalization on performance measurement. He collaborates with institutions like CIMA (UK) and contributes to global discussions on ESG metrics and SDG-driven capital investments.
