Zhongqun Tian is a Professor of Chemistry at Xiamen University, serving as Director of the Fujian Science & Technology Innovation Laboratory for Energy Materials. He holds leadership roles including Immediate-Past President of the International Society of Electrochemistry and editorial positions for major journals including Chemical Society Reviews and Science China-Chemistry. Education: BSc (1982) and MSc from Xiamen University; PhD (1987) from University of Southampton under Martin Fleischmann. Research Focus: Professor Tian leads pioneering work in surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS), spectroelectrochemistry, and plasmonics. His group develops novel nanostructure-based spectroscopic techniques for interfacial analysis, energy materials, and molecular detection. Recent work integrates artificial intelligence with nano-optical methods for next-generation analytical technologies. Publications: With over 730 papers and 52,000 citations, Tian's recent articles focus on SERS instrumentation advances, plasmon-mediated chemistry, and electrochemical interfaces.
