National Scientific Qualification as Second Level Professor (2013) First Band Qualification for Greek Language and Literature and Classical Philology (2018) FFABR funding recipient for basic research (2017) Diploma in Greek Paleography from the Vatican School with distinction Advanced training grant from the R. Toscano Scuderi Foundation Cipolla supervises MA and PhD theses in classical philology and has advised students on topics ranging from Apollonius Rhodius to ancient music. He is Director of the journal Sileno (since 2025, co-director from 2024), and serves on the scientific committees of Rivista di Cultura Classica e Medioevale , La rivista di Engramma , and Classica Vox . He is also President of the Catania delegation of the Italian Association for Classical Culture and a member of the Departmental Parity Committee (2020–2028). He has participated in major national research programs (PRIN) and coordinated university-level research projects on Attic drama and emotional representations in late antiquity. He has organized academic events, including the 2016 conference in honor of Giuseppina Basta Donzelli, and regularly presents at national and international conferences. He has also contributed to public outreach through seminars on ancient libraries, sacred music, and the enduring relevance of Greek language and myth.
