Dr Oz Susler is a Senior Lecturer at the Law School of La Trobe University, specializing in International Commercial Arbitration and Contract Law. She previously served as Director of Postgraduate (Coursework) Programs at the Law School until 2023. Her research focuses on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), mediation, and comparative law, with notable contributions to legal education reform and student well-being. Dr Susler holds a S.J.D., L.L.M., and LL.B. from La Trobe University, along with a Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Melbourne. Professional highlights include her 2019 ADR Academic of the Year Award from the Australian Disputes Centre and her role in establishing La Trobe’s Moot Court program. She has coached student teams in prestigious competitions like the Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and ICC Mediation Competitions. Dr Susler is an accredited mediator, a member of the Victorian Multicultural Business Ministerial Council (2018–2022), and a Leadership Victoria alumna. She has extensive experience in commercial law practice and currently contributes to the Juris Doctor Program’s Contract Law curriculum. Her research outputs explore themes such as transnational arbitration frameworks, legal education resilience, and the evolving landscape of international trade partnerships.
