Pantea Farvid is an Associate Professor of Applied Psychology at The New School, affiliated with the Schools of Public Engagement and the Bachelor's Program for Adults and Transfer Students (BPATS), where she chairs the Psychology department. She leads the SexTech Lab, exploring intersections of gender, technology, and intimacy, and co-directs The New School Gender and Sexuality Institute. Her expertise spans gender/sexuality studies, applied ethics, and digital intimacy dynamics.

Co-edited Sexual Racism and Social Justice: Reckoning with White Supremacy and Desire (Oxford).
