Dr. Ami Mamolo is an Associate Professor at the Mitch and Leslie Frazer Faculty of Education at Ontario Tech University. She specializes in mathematics education, focusing on teacher preparation, task design, and integrating social justice contexts into mathematical learning. Her research emphasizes experiential learning, transformative pedagogy, and leveraging technology to enhance teaching. Mamolo co-chairs the Fields Institute Math Education Forum and co-edits the Journal of Mathematical Behavior Special Issue on Mathematics in Society. She founded the ThinkMath network to foster authentic mathematics experiences through open educational resources. Her education includes a PhD in Mathematics Education. Courses taught span undergraduate and graduate programs, including problem-based learning frameworks, mathematics curriculum design, and research methodologies.
