Amanda Hoffman is a Lecturer-Researcher at the University of Groningen, affiliated with the Marian van Os Centre of Expertise Entrepreneurship and the Research Centre Biobased Economy. She holds a Master of Science in Social Psychology and Environmental Psychology from the University of Groningen. Her research focuses on transitioning to a circular economy, new business models, and applying design thinking and lean design principles in resource-constrained environments. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to education and sustainable development. She is also an Innovation Consultant at Flikkema Innovation Management & Consultancy since 2024. Her recent publication addresses AI-enabled product innovation processes, emphasizing semi-formal methodologies and formal ontology frameworks. Amanda leads the BiCoNet project (2024–2027), exploring innovative solutions for small and medium businesses. She collaborates internationally, with research interests spanning process technology and sustainable business strategies.
