İres İSKENDER is a full-time Professor at Çankaya University's Faculty of Engineering, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He holds a PhD from Middle East Technical University (1996), an MSc from the same institution (1991), and a BSc from Gazi University (1987). His academic roles include serving as the Department Chairman since 2023. His work emphasizes transformer optimization, power quality improvement, and high-efficiency energy systems. Recent publications highlight advancements in transformer design for solar plants, soft-switching converters, and aerospace applications. Advising and Grants: Supervised over 68 theses, including PhD and master’s students in areas like power electronics and renewable energy. Led projects on transformer thermal optimization, HVDC converter design, and UAV motor systems. Courses taught include Advanced Power Electronics and Electrical Machines.
