معرفی
Dr. Guilherme Fróes Silva is a Lecturer in the School of Electrical Engineering and Robotics at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), and an Associate Investigator with the QUT Centre for Robotics. His research focuses on aerospace characterisation, collision risk modeling, and control of scalable networked systems, including applications in microgrids, vehicle platoons, and UAV operations. He teaches units such as Modern Control, Control and Dynamic Systems, and Mechatronics Design I.
Education: BEng in Control and Automation Engineering (PUCRS, Brazil, 2015); MPhil (PUCRS, 2017); PhD in Engineering (QUT, 2023).
Research interests include:
- Collision risk assessment for autonomous systems
- Stability and scalability of networked control systems
- Microgrid dynamics and inverter control
- Vehicle platooning with disturbance rejection
- Real-time image processing for aerial applications
Key research trends in his publications emphasize safety-critical systems (e.g., UAV collision avoidance) and foundational control theory applied to emerging technologies like microgrids and robot networks. He leads the project Advancing precision control in atomic force microscopy as Chief Investigator.
