Karin Lingnau is an Assistant Professor at the exMedia Lab (School of Media and Fine Art) at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM). Her work bridges digital art, speculative design, and science fiction through interdisciplinary research projects like IDiA (Institute for Diachronic Artifacts) and Materiathek , exploring future artifacts, material processes, and anthropogenic transformations. Research Themes : Speculative materials, utopian/dystopian architectures, bionic systems, and geopolitical implications of technological mining.
