Dr. Philip Bull is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of History at La Trobe University, specializing in late 19th- and early 20th-century Irish and British political history. He has extensively curated the Monksgrange archive, Ireland's largest privately held collection, and authored the monograph Monksgrange: Portrait of an Irish House and Family, 1769–1969. His current research explores Joachim Benemann's atypical ideological associations with Monksgrange in the 1930s and ongoing work on the Irish land question, including a 2024 chapter on land legislation.
