Dr. Yingjie Yuan is an Assistant Professor in Human Resource Management & Organizational Behaviour at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Groningen. Her research focuses on social networks, creativity and innovation, team information processing, and star performers. She earned her Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Erasmus University Rotterdam and holds degrees from Renmin University of China and Wuhan University, including a minor in Economics. Ph.D., Erasmus University Rotterdam (2012-2017) MSc., Renmin University of China (2008-2010) B.S., Wuhan University (2004-2008) Yuan's research explores how team dynamics and network structures influence creativity, including topics like idea selection, information elaboration, and the role of leader authenticity. She has published extensively in top journals and conferences, emphasizing mechanisms like redundancy in external contacts and psychological safety in cross-cultural teams. Her professional service includes reviewing for the Academy of Management Conference, INGRoup Conference, and IACMR Biannual Conference since 2010. She serves in leadership roles at the University of Groningen, including Vice-chair of the research Lab committee and Coordinator of the CONINC interdisciplinary research center.
