Professor Alan Blackwell is a Senior Member of the University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory, Fellow of Darwin College, and co-Director of Cambridge Global Challenges. He leads the Crucible network for interdisciplinary collaboration between technologists and Arts/Humanities researchers, while serving as non-executive Director of Cambridge Enterprise. His research focuses on human-centered design of AI systems, critical design theory, and technology accessibility for marginalized populations. He supervises PhD students in AI for Environmental Risk CDT and other interdisciplinary programs.
