Simon Emmerson is a Professor in Music, Technology & Innovation at De Montfort University 's Leicester Media School. A composer and scholar with over 50 years of experience in electroacoustic music, he has worked extensively in live electronics, music analysis, and gender studies in sonic arts. His contributions include founding EMAS and serving on advisory boards for Sonic Arts Network, Sound and Music, and journals like Organised Sound and Journal of Sonic Studies.
