Szczepan Zapotoczny is a Professor at the Faculty of Chemistry, Jagiellonian University, Kraków, Poland. He leads the Nanoengineering of Functional Polymeric Materials research team and serves as head of the Nanotechnology of Polymers and Biomaterials group. His work focuses on nanostructured polymeric materials for biomedical and photochemical applications, including polymer brushes, nanocapsules for drug delivery, and hybrid nanomaterials. Education: PhD in Chemistry (1999, Jagiellonian University), Postdoc at University of Twente (Netherlands, 1999–2001). Research Highlights: Over 190 peer-reviewed publications (H-index 40), 10 patents, and commercialized technologies like drug-delivery nanocapsules and magnetic nanoparticles.
