Professor Nirajan Shiwakoti is a leading academic in transport engineering at RMIT University, holding a Professorship since 2025. He specializes in transport safety, automated vehicles, and sustainability, with global recognition including top 2% citation status in logistics and transportation. His research focuses on resilient transport systems, decarbonization, and cybersecurity in emerging technologies. Shiwakoti leads the Intelligent Transport and Mobility Systems group, addressing societal impacts of technologies like EVs and CAVs.
