Dr. Fang Wang is Professor at Wilfrid Laurier University's Lazaridis School of Business and Economics. Her research examines social media ecosystems, digital consumer behavior, and AI applications across domains including influencer marketing, e-commerce, and educational technology. Key research streams investigate: 1) Social media influencer dynamics including virtual influencers, parasocial relationships, and threat mechanisms; 2) E-commerce platform design factors affecting review helpfulness, seller networks, and livestream commerce; 3) AI adoption challenges in conversational agents, fitness apps, and educational contexts; and 4) Augmented reality applications in media consumption. Methodologies combine text mining, experimental designs, network analysis, and systematic reviews. Her work appears in information systems, marketing, and human-computer interaction venues. Recent projects analyze pandemic impacts on pharmaceutical disclosures, homophily in livestream commerce, and generativity of enterprise IT systems.
