Annetine Staff is a full-time Professor I at the University of Oslo (UiO) and part-time Clinical Consultant & Research Head at Oslo University Hospital (OUS). She leads the Research Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ullevål, overseeing 30+ researchers. Her work spans pregnancy complications, gynecological cancers, and translational research linking basic science to clinical practice. Education: MD/PhD from UiO (2000), specialization in Obstetrics & Gynecology (1996). Thesis: 'Preeclampsia and uteroplacental tissues: lipids, oxidative stress, and trophoblast invasion.' Research Interests: Focus areas include placental dysfunction, maternal cardiovascular risks post-pregnancy, fetal microchimerism, biomarkers for pregnancy outcomes, and urogynecological surgical innovations. Collaborations span global networks like the Global Pregnancy CoLaboratory and PreventADALL consortium. Publications: Recent work emphasizes placental senescence, biomarker validation, and maternal-child health links. Key themes include preeclampsia mechanisms, HPV in pregnancy, and fetal monitoring accuracy.
