Michael T. LeVasseur is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Epidemiology at Drexel University's Dornsife School of Public Health . He holds a PhD in Epidemiology from Drexel, an MPH in Epidemiology & Biostatistics from CUNY Hunter College, and a BA from Sarah Lawrence College. His research focuses on HIV health disparities among sexual and gender minorities, intersections of data science with public health, and evidence-based interventions for infectious diseases. LeVasseur's work spans epidemiological studies on beverage taxation policies, HIV prevention strategies (e.g., PrEP), and data linkage for occupational safety. He has contributed to high-impact journals like the American Journal of Preventive Medicine and Health Affairs , analyzing policy impacts and behavioral patterns.
