Julia Heller is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) , affiliated with the Faculty of Mathematics and the Department of Algebra and Geometry . She works in the Topology and Geometric Group Theory group under Roman Sauer and is associated with the Research Training Group 2229 . Her research focuses on geometric and topological group theory, algebraic combinatorics, and group actions on discrete structures, with a particular emphasis on Coxeter groups, buildings, and non-crossing partitions. Teaching Activities: She has taught courses such as Geometric Group Theory , Algebraic Excursions in Groups and Spaces , and Coxeter Groups and Buildings across multiple semesters. Her dissertation, Structural Properties of Non-Crossing Partitions from Algebraic and Geometric Perspectives , reflects her core research themes. Academic Engagement: Julia organizes academic events, including the RTG lecture series, seminars, and outreach initiatives like the Regular Lunchmeeting in Math with the Equal-Opportunities Team and Women in Math groups. She also participates in conferences such as the Diverse Aspects of Groups, Geometry and Dynamics at Heidelberg University.
