Zoltan Nadasdy is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin, affiliated with the College of Liberal Arts. His research focuses on neural coding mechanisms, particularly the relationship between neuronal oscillations and spike patterns. He is a Principal Investigator at the NeuroTexas Institute and collaborates with clinical groups at St. David’s Hospital and Dell Children’s Hospital. His work spans epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, and spatial cognition, using human electrophysiology and computational modeling. Education includes a PhD in Neuroscience from Rutgers University (1999), postdoctoral training at Hebrew University, Caltech, and additional roles at institutions like the California Institute of Technology and Texas A&M Health Science Center. He holds editorial and membership roles in neuroscience societies, including the American Epilepsy Society. Key research areas include spike sequences, gamma oscillations, seizure prediction, and neural correlates of visual perception. Notable awards include the Solomon Graduate Research Award (1996), Lady Davis Postdoctoral Fellowship (1998), and Golda Meir Postdoctoral Fellowship (1999).
