Lars Harald Eide is a Lecturer at the Department of Teacher Education and Outdoor Studies at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences (NIH). He serves as the program manager for years 1-3 of the 5-year teacher education in physical education and sports (LKI/LUPE). With nearly 20 years of experience in Oslo schools, his expertise spans classroom teaching, video-guided pedagogy, student supervision, and educational leadership. He also developed and leads the fully digital course KRØ103 Digital Didactics in Physical Education . His research explores: Innovations in physical education curricula and assessment methods Digital tools (VR/exergames) for enriched teaching Social justice frameworks in sports pedagogy Teacher professionalism during crises like the COVID-19 pandemic Eide's publications analyze technology integration in sports education, pandemic-era teaching adaptations, and transitions between school/university teaching roles. A consistent focus is the intersection of digital tools, practical skill development, and equitable pedagogy. He holds a Master's in Sports Science from NIH and teacher certifications in physical education. As an employee representative on the Learning Environment Committee, he contributes to institutional policy. His elite sports background includes Norwegian national team representation in ice hockey and floorball.
