Amin Barari is an Associate Professor and Head of the Geotechnical Engineering and Offshore Foundations Research Group at Aalborg University's Department of the Built Environment (Faculty of Engineering and Science). His research focuses on offshore geotechnics, green energy technologies, soil-structure interaction for wind turbines, and soil liquefaction. He holds a PhD from Aalborg University (2012) and has held postdoctoral positions at Virginia Tech (USA) and the Technical University of Denmark. He is an editorial board member for journals like Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers - Geotechnical Engineering and co-founder of the Mechanical Sciences Journal . He has organized major conferences including OMAE 2017 and OMAE 2016, and has given invited lectures globally. His work has over 2,170 citations (h-index 28) with 50+ journal papers. He also serves as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Universal Foundation A/S. Education: PhD in Geotechnical Engineering (Aalborg University, 2012).
