Richard Christenson is a Professor in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Connecticut. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame (2002). His research focuses on Smart Structures, Structural Control, Vibration Mitigation, and Real-Time Hybrid Testing. Key areas include advanced damping systems like MR dampers, bridge weigh-in-motion (BWIM) systems, and structural health monitoring (SHM).
