معرفی
Dr. Jaroslav Vaculik is a Grant-Funded Researcher (A) in the School of Architecture and Civil Engineering at the University of Adelaide, affiliated with the Civil Engineering department. His research focuses on seismic response of unreinforced masonry buildings, particularly heritage structures, aiming to enhance their earthquake resilience through innovative techniques like FRP retrofitting. He combines practical consulting experience with academic research to address challenges in structural design standards.
Research Interests:
- Seismic behavior of heritage masonry (clay brick/concrete block)
- FRP strengthening methodologies and durability
- Out-of-plane collapse mechanisms in unreinforced masonry
- Development of practical design tools for engineers
Key Contributions:
- Advanced understanding of masonry joint properties and anchorage systems
- Pioneered field testing protocols for vintage masonry
- Authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications on structural retrofitting and masonry behavior
Advising & Grants: Currently supervising technical projects on masonry retrofitting and seismic risk mitigation, with funding from university grants and industry collaborations.
