Dr. Şule Firat Durdukoca is an Associate Professor in the Special Education Department at the Faculty of Education, Kafkas University, Turkey. She has been serving as a full-time academic since 2013, initially as a Doctoral Academic Member and promoted to Associate Professor in 2019. During her tenure, she has held administrative positions including Department Chair (2017-2023) and Head of Academic Discipline (2015-2017). Her academic work spans curriculum development, special education, and teacher training with over 87 publications and 260 citations. Dr. Firat Durdukoca's educational background includes: PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from İnönü University, Institute of Educational Sciences (2008-2013) Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction (Thesis) from İnönü University, Institute of Social Sciences (2006-2008) Bachelor's Degree in Basic Education from İnönü University, Faculty of Education (2002-2006) Her primary research interests focus on curriculum development and special education, with particular emphasis on teacher training, educational psychology, and inclusive education practices. She has extensively studied teachers' perspectives on curriculum implementation, special education needs, and the development of teaching methodologies. Her work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical classroom applications, addressing challenges in both mainstream and specialized educational settings. She has contributed significantly to understanding how teachers perceive and implement educational reforms and specialized programs.
