Dr. Janette Pow is a Lecturer at the School of Health and Social Care , Edinburgh Napier University, with a focus on public health and vaccination programs. She is affiliated with the Population and Public Health Research Group and Maternal and Child Health and Wellbeing Research Group . PhD in Health Research Collaborates with researchers like Carol Gray Brunton, Elaine Carnegie, and Anne Whittaker Her research spans: HPV vaccination uptake among marginalized groups Health communication strategies Sexual health education Child protection in primary care Barriers to physical activity for asthmatic children She has contributed to 15+ publications (2009-2025) on topics including vaccine hesitancy, health equity, and patient-centered care. Her work has been supported by the Carnegie Trust for Universities of Scotland (£39,762) and Queen's Nursing Institute Scotland (£5,800). Dr. Pow serves as Director of Studies for PhD research on mental health nurses' informal learning about sexual health and supervises projects related to vaccination programs and healthcare education.
