Tarik Roukny is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of KU Leuven, with primary work addresses in Brussels and Leuven. He serves on the Council of the Faculty of Economics and Business and the Campus Council for the Brussels Campus. His research focuses on financial markets, technological innovation, and policy design, exploring interactions between finance, technology, and systemic risk. His research interests span financial networks, FinTech, climate finance, and regulatory frameworks. Notable projects include the study of asset overhang in green technology adoption, financial influences on zoonotic disease risks, and the design of open financial data policies.
