Searat Ali

Dr. Searat Ali is a Senior Lecturer in Finance at the University of Wollongong's School of Accounting, Economics & Finance. He holds a PhD from Griffith University and has taught at institutions including Punjab College of Commerce. His research focuses on corporate governance, sustainable finance, and ESG factors in capital markets, with publications in top-tier journals like the Journal of Financial Markets and Journal of Business Finance and Accounting. He has received awards such as the Best Paper Award from AFAANZ and the Emerging Researcher nomination at UOW.

Dr. Ali's work emphasizes boardroom diversity, climate policy impacts, and geopolitical risk. He has secured grants from AFAANZ, the Australian Academy of Science, and DFAT. As a supervisor, he guides PhD students on topics like ESG controversies and sustainable finance.
