Tracy Wang is a Professor of Accounting and Convenor of the Master of Commerce (Advanced) at the Research School of Accounting, ANU College of Business & Economics. She serves as Deputy Editor of Accounting & Finance and Guest Editor of International Journal of Accounting (ESG Special Issue). She chairs the ESG Special Interest Group of the Accounting and Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand (AFAANZ) and actively mentors in the Kellogg-Morgan Stanley Sustainable Investing Challenge. Tracy is an ANU Academic Board member and Co-chair of NECTAR (Network for Early Career Teachers, Academics, and Researchers).
Her research focuses on corporate governance, CSR, financial/non-financial reporting, and regulatory reforms. Notable areas include board diversity impacts on innovation, analyst coverage effects, and ESG integration in executive compensation. Her work appears in top journals like Journal of Accounting and Economics and Review of Accounting Studies.
Tracy has supervised over 30 research students, recognized with the 2022 CBE Prize for Excellence in Research Training. Her projects include studies on R&D tax incentives, mandatory climate disclosures, and cross-border listings. She actively engages in policy discussions on emerging markets, innovation ecosystems, and sustainability.
