Dr. Iliada Eleftheriou is a Senior Lecturer in Healthcare Sciences at the University of Manchester's School of Health Sciences, within the Division of Informatics, Imaging & Data Sciences. She specializes in mapping data movements to address socio-technical challenges in healthcare systems and drives digital transformation projects, particularly involving AI. She is a member of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority Information Board and an honorary digital consultant at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. Education: PhD in Data Journey Modelling (2019) from the University of Manchester. Research Interests: Focuses on health data systems, AI implementation in clinical settings, socio-technical barriers in data movement, and healthcare workforce development through education initiatives like FutureLearn MOOCs and Topol Fellow programs. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals by improving healthcare efficiency and patient outcomes through digital innovation. She leads national initiatives such as the Cancer Research UK health data systems network and the AI & Digital Healthcare Technologies Capability Framework. Projects: Co-investigator in the RAI Centre for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, and the Topol Fellowship Machine Learning Course.
