Professor Liz Bacon serves as Principal and Vice-Chancellor of Abertay University. She holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered Scientist, and Fellow of the BCS. Leadership: President of EQANIE (European Quality Assurance Network for Informatics Education), former President of BCS (The Chartered Institute for IT), and Trustee of Bletchley Park Trust. Contributed to national computing education reforms and international accreditation standards. Research Focus: Develops technology-enhanced learning environments with applications in crisis management and eHealth. Specializes in smart games-based learning, adaptive educational systems, and AI applications for immersive learning. Publications: Recent work addresses e-commerce metrics, gender equity in technology, and inclusive game-based learning approaches. Maintains interdisciplinary focus combining technical innovation with educational applications.
