Dr Emily Finch is a Senior Lecturer in Law at the University of Surrey's Surrey Law School. Her research focuses on criminology, criminal law, and forensic science, with specializations in stalking, drug-assisted rape, identity fraud, and jury decision-making. She has advised organizations on fraud prevention and offender profiling, and her work has influenced domestic and international legal policies.
Her research has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Cavendish Book Prize (2001) for her book The Criminalisation of Stalking and the Joseph Lister Award (2005) for contributions to identity fraud research.
