Dr Sundresan Naicker is a Research Fellow in Implementation Science at the School of Public Health & Social Work, Faculty of Health, Queensland University of Technology (QUT). His research focuses on health services and systems, particularly examining healthcare technology adoption, implementation science, and improving healthcare delivery efficiency. He holds a PhD from the University of Sydney and has published extensively on topics including clinical decision support systems, patient non-attendance costs, and shared care models. Education: Doctor of Philosophy (University of Sydney) His research interests span health informatics, clinical workflow optimization, and qualitative studies on healthcare provider dynamics. Notable publications explore the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on clinician-IT interactions, cost analyses of non-attendance in physiotherapy, and strategies to reduce low-value care in hospital settings. Naicker has received awards including the RACGP Foundation Grant (2021) and a federal Research & Development grant (2018). He currently supervises two PhD candidates focusing on healthcare service evaluation and workforce factors in oral healthcare. His work bridges implementation science and real-world healthcare challenges, emphasizing stakeholder collaboration and evidence-based solutions to improve patient outcomes and system efficiency.
