Jide Okechuku Nzelibe is the Howard and Elizabeth Chapman Professor of Law at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. He holds affiliations with the Ford Motor Company Center for Global Citizenship. His academic journey includes a BA from St. John's College, an MPA in International Relations from Princeton University, and a JD from Yale Law School. Prior roles include visiting professorships at Harvard and NYU Law Schools, and clerkship at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Research interests span international trade, foreign relations law, public and private international law, and contracts. His work often explores constitutional design, separation of powers, and institutional accountability. Notable publications include analyses of U.S. foreign affairs constitutional frameworks and critiques of WTO enforcement mechanisms. Prof. Nzelibe has received prestigious fellowships including the Woodrow Wilson and Ford Foundation awards. His teaching roles include the Bigelow Teaching Fellowship at the University of Chicago. Professional service includes serving as Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs at Northwestern Law and leadership roles in academic governance.
