Dr. Annika RIEGER is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the Singapore Management University's School of Social Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Boston College (2023), an M.A. in Sociology from Boston College (2018), and a B.S. in Sociology from Southern Methodist University (2016). Her research examines the intersection of corporations, civil society, and environmental policy through quantitative and computational methods. Her work focuses on three primary areas: environmental sociology (studying anthropogenic drivers of climate change), political economy (analyzing corporate responses to societal pressure), and organizational behavior (investigating barriers to institutional reform in energy sectors). Recent publications demonstrate a consistent focus on corporate environmental accountability, with methodological strengths in multilevel analysis of longitudinal datasets.
