Werner Stadlmayr is a Lecturer and academic leader at Management Center Innsbruck, currently serving as Head of the Department & Study Programs in Environmental, Process & Energy Engineering (BSc/MSc) since 2019. Previously, he was Head of the Department of Mathematics & Physics (2014–2019) and has held a lecturer role since 2012. He earned a PhD in Chemistry (with distinction) from Leopold-Franzens-University Innsbruck (2008–2013) and a Magister (with distinction) in Chemistry (2002–2008). His research focuses on surface science, catalysis, and materials science, with notable contributions to palladium-based alloys and methanol steam reforming. He has supervised multiple theses and authored a textbook on thermodynamics. Awards include scholarships from his alma mater and a 3rd place in FameLab Austria 2009 for science communication. His teaching spans environmental analysis, thermodynamics, and polymer chemistry. He has also contributed to didactic training in university teaching. His research integrates experimental methods like XPS and surface scattering, addressing challenges in catalytic reaction engineering and environmental processes. Over 15 peer-reviewed publications highlight his work on catalyst design, material characterization, and thin film dynamics. He is a member of the German Physical Society (DPG) and has presented at international conferences on surface science and catalysis.
